About the Role

As a Senior member of the Forza Horizon Level Design team, you will take ownership of crafting expansive game worlds, designing captivating gameplay events, and implementing key features that shape the player experience. You'll be a driving force in mentoring and developing junior team members, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of excellence.

You'll consistently strive for the highest quality standards, adapt readily to change, and excel as an approachable communicator within our world-class technical and creative teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain significant portions of our game worlds.
  • Lead the development of gameplay features independently, driving them from conception to completion.
  • Maintain a laser focus on player experience, ensuring that every aspect of gameplay delivers exceptional quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with a highly motivated and talented cross-functional team.
  • Utilize our proprietary engine and tools to create innovative and engaging gameplay experiences.
  • Mentor, train, and inspire fellow team members, sharing your knowledge and fostering their growth.

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience in Level Design.
  • A minimum of one shipped title where you held a Level Design role.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software packages such as 3DS Max, Mudbox, and Photoshop (or equivalent).
  • Ability to conceptualize a basic environment and develop it into a polished, shippable asset.
  • Ideally, experience in crafting AAA open world environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • A passion for games and a desire to contribute to the creation of exceptional gaming experiences.
  • Experience within the racing genre is a plus.
