Job Overview

At Home Instead, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Home Care Assistant. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed.
  • Prepare meals and snacks, ensuring clients receive nutritious and balanced diets.
  • Support clients with medication management, including administering medication as required.
  • Assist with daily hygiene, including toileting and incontinence care.
  • Accompany clients on trips and social outings, promoting social interaction and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, written and spoken.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Available to work every other weekend, as required.
  • Full Driving Licence and access to transport.
