We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Level 3 Educational Support Specialist to join our esteemed partner Primary School in the Handsworth area.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting educational activities as directed by teaching staff, providing essential assistance to students and contributing to creating a positive atmosphere in the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), both individually and in groups, to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Aid in the creation and execution of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), modifying teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver engaging lessons and foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages both academic and social growth.
- Track student progress, confidently manage challenging behavior, and provide regular feedback to the teaching staff and parents.
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom, support the teacher by leading small group activities, and assist with lesson delivery.
Personal Specification:
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant degree.
- Previous experience as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant is preferable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff.
- Dedication to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for every student.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are advantageous.
