Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary Level 3

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Education Network Birmingham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of a Key Stage 2 child with moderate learning needs.

Job Summary:
  • Provide classroom-based support to a Key Stage 2 child with moderate learning needs.
  • Deliver intervention sessions to help the child engage with learning and get the most from each day.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and class TA to ensure a supportive environment for all pupils.
  • Manage behaviors if required.
  • Understand a range of special educational needs.
  • Provide consistency and care for children.
  • Make learning fun, engaging, and nurturing.
Responsibilities:
  • Support a Key Stage 2 child on a 1-2-1 basis in the classroom.
  • Act as a Teaching Assistant/Classroom Assistant.
  • Work closely with the class teachers to provide the right support.
  • Manage behaviors if required.
  • Understand a range of special educational needs.
  • Provide consistency and care for children.
  • Make learning fun, engaging, and nurturing.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience supporting children with moderate learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
