Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Rights Revenue team at Penguin Random House.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rights Processing: Learn all aspects of rights sales contracts, statement and income processing, and credit control to be an expert in this area.
  • Attend Regular Meetings: Attend regular meetings with Rights Sales colleagues and our Credit Services department to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Review Reports: Review tax/write-off exception reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial performance.
  • Staff Management: Work closely with the rest of the royalty senior team to coordinate and bring together the whole department as one unit, improving morale, staff integration, training programs, and more.
  • Carry Out Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews for direct reports to ensure they are meeting their goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate Training: Coordinate and organize training and personal development across the department to meet the needs of the individual and the business.
  • Manage Absence: Carry out absence management interviews, performance monitoring, and welfare meetings as necessary.
  • Administrative Tasks: Take responsibility for the team's administrative tasks such as holiday booking.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Significant experience leading a medium to large team in an accounting function, with a track record of high service levels, continuous improvement, and change management.
  • Accounting Qualification: An accounting qualification is desired but not essential if qualified by experience.
