Position Overview

NRG is a UK-based insurance intermediary known for delivering exceptional customer service and value since its inception. We are currently seeking a Finance Apprentice to become an integral part of our dynamic team.

The starting salary for this position is £18,000 annually, with an increase to £19,000 after one year, alongside a reward of £500 for each exam or milestone achieved.

This role serves as an excellent foundation for anyone aspiring to build a career in finance. It provides a thorough introduction to the industry, offering opportunities to gain experience across various finance sectors within a nurturing environment. The position emphasizes personal development, initiative, and teamwork—key components for success in finance. Comprehensive training will be provided, including finance systems training, as well as study support and funding for AAT Level qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Finance Apprentice, you will be positioned within the Finance Team, where your responsibilities will vary throughout your placement. You will have the opportunity to rotate through different areas, gaining insights into the various roles within the organization. Tasks may include verifying company expenses, processing bank deposits and payments, and assisting in the development of systems and procedures that align with the company's growth and efficiency goals.

Within the framework of our policies, you will be encouraged to exercise your initiative, share your ideas, and feel empowered to make decisions. This role is centered around the individual and their proactive attitude.

Candidate Profile:

The management team will support your learning of the systems and processes necessary for functioning in a busy finance environment; therefore, prior finance experience is not a prerequisite. We are looking for a dedicated team player who is eager to learn and possesses the following qualifications:

  • A Levels or equivalent GCSE qualifications in Maths and English at level 6 or above are preferred.
  • A qualification in Business Studies would be beneficial.
  • Strong numeracy skills and a genuine interest in numbers.
  • Basic familiarity with Excel and a desire to enhance your knowledge.
  • A motivated individual excited to acquire new skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse groups.
