Matron Respiratory Leader

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Matron to lead the Respiratory team at our Manvers ward and Manvers Acute Respiratory Unit. As a key member of our multi-professional team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and managerial leadership to ensure high-quality care for patients requiring level 1a and critically unwell patients requiring non-invasive ventilation.
Main Responsibilities- Provide visible professional leadership and line management for a team of nursing and support staff.
- Ensure staffing is in line with Trust policy and manage budgets and resources efficiently and effectively.
- Be responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the clinical environment and champion a culture of learning and quality improvement in the clinical area.
- Act as a clinical expert within the sphere of work and have continuous responsibility for the ward area.
- Ensure patients are assessed, have care plans that are implemented and evaluated in accordance with Trust's evidence-based procedural documents.

Person SpecificationEducation/Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (level 1)
- Postgraduate diploma/degree
- Recognised teaching/assessing qualification
- Management certificate or equivalent experience
Experience
- Minimum of two years' experience at senior nurse level within specialty
- Experience of leading and developing a team, budget management, quality assurance, change management, complaints handling, policy implementation, service development and undertaking audits
