Position Overview

Keoghs is seeking a dedicated Fraud Claims Investigator to become a vital member of our dynamic Intelligence Team. This entry-level position offers opportunities for career advancement within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in identifying and gathering evidence related to potential fraudulent claims. Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and entering new suspected fraudulent insurance claims into our Intelligence Database.
  • Engaging in both verbal and written communication with external entities, such as insurers, to gather information that aids in the investigation of suspected fraudulent claims.
  • Supporting Intelligence Analysts in progressing investigations and conducting intelligence searches, which may involve answering phone inquiries and preparing correspondence.
  • Responding to requests for information from external organizations to assist in the broader effort of fraud prevention and detection.

Core Accountabilities

  • Extracting essential information from new files and accurately entering data into various internal systems.
  • Making informed decisions on follow-up inquiries and collaborating with Intelligence Analysts and internal file handlers.
  • Contacting insurers to gather information regarding previous claims.
  • Adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and internal policies.
  • Managing personal workload effectively while maintaining focus and commitment.
  • Preparing responses to internal and external information requests based on file data.
  • Communicating professionally to obtain necessary information.
  • Meeting chargeable time recording targets, which will increase during the probation period based on performance and team objectives.
  • Maintaining accurate Management Information (MI) spreadsheets.

Working Hours

This role requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, typically from Monday to Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

Essential Recruitment Criteria

  • Pass in English & Maths GCSE or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in IT.
  • Strong telephone communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to learning and developing expertise within the role.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a target-driven environment and/or time recording.
