Position Overview
Keoghs is seeking a dedicated Fraud Claims Investigator to become a vital member of our dynamic Intelligence Team. This entry-level position offers opportunities for career advancement within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in identifying and gathering evidence related to potential fraudulent claims. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and entering new suspected fraudulent insurance claims into our Intelligence Database.
- Engaging in both verbal and written communication with external entities, such as insurers, to gather information that aids in the investigation of suspected fraudulent claims.
- Supporting Intelligence Analysts in progressing investigations and conducting intelligence searches, which may involve answering phone inquiries and preparing correspondence.
- Responding to requests for information from external organizations to assist in the broader effort of fraud prevention and detection.
Core Accountabilities
- Extracting essential information from new files and accurately entering data into various internal systems.
- Making informed decisions on follow-up inquiries and collaborating with Intelligence Analysts and internal file handlers.
- Contacting insurers to gather information regarding previous claims.
- Adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and internal policies.
- Managing personal workload effectively while maintaining focus and commitment.
- Preparing responses to internal and external information requests based on file data.
- Communicating professionally to obtain necessary information.
- Meeting chargeable time recording targets, which will increase during the probation period based on performance and team objectives.
- Maintaining accurate Management Information (MI) spreadsheets.
Working Hours
This role requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, typically from Monday to Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
Essential Recruitment Criteria
- Pass in English & Maths GCSE or equivalent.
- Proficiency in IT.
- Strong telephone communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in repetitive tasks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to learning and developing expertise within the role.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in a target-driven environment and/or time recording.
