Communications Manager

We are seeking a skilled Communications Manager to join our team at Opus People Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a coordinated multi-skilled corporate service dedicated to fostering and adoption.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective communications strategies to enhance the reputation of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
  • Coordinate and research for internal or external stakeholder engagement, including drafting web and digital strategy and systems.
  • Manage the provision of proactive and reactive responses to all aspects of media, including social media, to maintain the Council's reputation and integrity.
  • Represent the County or City Council as lead Communications officer at external meetings with partners and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective use of communications, web, digital and marketing tools to proactively shape and manage internal and external customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in communications, marketing, and campaign development and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of web and digital development and delivery, brand management, media management, and internal communications.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
