About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Fundraising Specialist to join our successful fundraising team at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Charity in the community and build strong relationships with individual donors and groups.
  • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to increase income and deliver the charity's community fundraising goals.
  • Work closely with the fundraising and stewardship team to provide excellent stewardship and ensure donors feel valued and appreciated.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of departmental plans and objectives.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of donor interactions and fundraising activities using a donor management database.
Requirements
  • Significant working experience in the Charity sector, preferably in a fundraising role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and appropriately to stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in building relationships with potential donors and cultivating supporters.
  • Ability to plan, manage time, and prioritize own workload with minimum supervision.
  • High standard of computer literacy, including Microsoft packages and experience of working with a donor management database.
  • Ability to deal with fundraisers' personal information in a sensitive and confidential manner.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for work and work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the third sector and Charity law.
