About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Fundraising Specialist to join our team at East Anglia's Children's Hospices. As a key member of our Community Fundraising Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a range of fundraising strategies to engage with local communities and raise vital funds for our hospices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and support fundraising events, including community-based initiatives and charity runs.
  • Engage with local communities to raise money and awareness for our hospices, building strong relationships with local businesses, schools, and community groups.
  • Proactively seek out new fundraising opportunities, identifying potential partnerships and collaborations that can help us achieve our fundraising targets.
  • Work closely with our wider team to contribute to the development and implementation of our Community Fundraising strategy, sharing ideas and best practices to drive fundraising success.
  • Meet income targets, reporting on budgets and maintaining accurate supporter records on our fundraising database.
  • Deliver talks and presentations to organisations to secure long-term support, and steward our supporters through regular communication and engagement.
  • Manage our group of fundraising volunteers, providing guidance and support to help them make a real difference to our hospices.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Community Fundraising Specialist who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people with life-limiting conditions. You will have a proven track record of fundraising success, with experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies that engage with local communities. You will be a strong communicator, with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team to drive fundraising success.
