Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Support Specialist to join our Technology team at Severn Trent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our IT infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve complex IT issues, including hardware and software problems, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders, including IT staff and business users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and technical solutions.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple support tickets and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely resolution and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our IT services and support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical support role, with a strong background in IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and methodologies, with experience in implementing and maintaining IT service management processes.
