Regional Technical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Engineer to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of our Regional Technical team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our front-line services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to coastal staff and volunteers, ensuring rapid and effective resolution of technical queries.
- Collaborate with regional teams to develop common ways of working, ensuring regulatory compliance and conformance to central governance and guidance.
- Oversee the design intent of RNLI plant, equipment, and procedures, ensuring adherence to engineering design authority processes and standards.
- Track and manage engineering assurance status report actions, progressing resolution of issues and ensuring timely completion.
- Plan and undertake technical investigations, troubleshooting, trials, and analysis of data, providing expert advice and guidance to the team.
- Be an integral part of the Regional Technical Cell, contributing to the development of technical solutions and best practices.
- Undertake other ad hoc duties as required, supporting the team and contributing to the success of the organization.
You will have a strong background in engineering, with experience in marine equipment design, production, or support. You will be familiar with supporting documentation and processes across the engineering lifecycle, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
You will be able to handle time-dependent demands, ensuring that our lifesaving assets remain on service. You will be currently residing in the Scotland region, with regular travel across the region and occasional travel to the coast and other operating areas.
