About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Architect to join our team at Gensler. As an Architect - Repositioning - Mid Level, you will play a key role in designing and delivering innovative workplace and commercial office building projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with the team to design and deliver major workplace and commercial office building projects.
  • Manage the project lifecycle, including estimating, bidding, project kick-off, weekly coordination, punch list, turnover, opening, and project close-out.
  • Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials.
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges.
  • Maintain project manuals and specifications.
  • Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's during construction.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents.

Requirements

  • RIBA or ARB registered.
  • Minimum 3 years' post ARB qualification with demonstrable experience in design, detailing, and/or construction documentation.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of workplace and commercial office buildings projects is essential, with a strong record in repositioning.
  • Experience in project leadership, excellent client liaison, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, capable of working in BIM Level 2 standards.
  • Experience in Rhino, Grasshopper, and 3ds Max is advantageous.
  • Experience with the full project lifecycle, through to delivery.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and building structures.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.
