We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our team at My Ohana. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 3-11 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage children in entertaining and educational play through a variety of activities, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Support and assist the Manager in planning and delivering a programme of activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Contribute to the development of creative activity planning, working collaboratively with colleagues to design engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, building strong relationships and promoting a sense of community within the nursery.

Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification or Play worker Level 3 (pre 2014).
  • Have experience working with children aged 3-11 years, with a strong understanding of their needs and developmental stages.
  • Be able to contribute to creative activity planning, demonstrating a passion for early years education and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Working Hours:

The creches are open from 10am to 6pm, 7 days a week, all year round, with the exception of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Easter Sunday.

Job Type: Part-time

Hourly Rate: £6.9 per hour

Preferred Qualifications: Nursery/Creche: 1 year (preferred), Childcare: 1 year (preferred), Level 3 Childcare qualification (Early Years) (required)
