Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Neurology. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of paediatric services and contributing to the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients with a wide range of paediatric disorders, including those with neurological conditions. You will work closely with senior colleagues to develop and implement clinical strategies, and contribute to the education and training of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.

About the Role

This is an 8 PA contract with potential for further PA's in the future, subject to job planning. You will be required to participate in a 1:8 on-call commitment for general Paediatrics and provide an out-of-hours emergency service on a shared basis with other Consultants within the Department.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Paediatrics, with a particular interest in Neurology. You will be a registered medical practitioner with a Licence to practice and a full Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. You will also have experience of supervising junior doctors and teaching clinical skills.
