Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and personable Patient Services Coordinator to become a vital member of our dynamic team within the Maternity Services at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

This role primarily involves providing support across various locations, ensuring seamless operations in our healthcare facilities.

This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends, typically involving one weekend shift every three weeks. Specific shift patterns and hours will be discussed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, both in person and via telephone.
  • Facilitate effective communication between different wards and departments to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Accurately enter data related to patient admissions, transfers, and discharges into the Patient Administration System.
  • Deliver comprehensive administrative and clerical support to unit staff, visitors, and patients.
