Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Resilience Lead to join our team at Primark. As a key member of our Technology team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the robustness, reliability, and recoverability of our infrastructure and services.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive resilience strategy to ensure our systems can withstand and recover from disruptions, minimizing operational risks.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of technology resilience strategies, policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring alignment with Business Continuity strategies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify resilience concerns relevant to our technology systems and platforms, developing mitigation strategies and recommendations to address the risks.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the end-to-end Technology recovery capability in accordance with the Technology Recovery Framework.
  • Lead the Technology Recovery incident response team in the event of a technology disaster, coordinating efforts across multiple regions, teams, and suppliers.
  • Revise and maintain the Technology Crisis Management process, planning and conducting regular Technology crisis testing, including simulations and drills.

**Requirements**

  • At least 10 years of experience working at mid to senior level within technology resilience, disaster recovery, and IT operations roles, with significant knowledge of technology infrastructure, architecture, and cloud computing.
  • Experienced in IT Service Delivery (gained from working in ITIL environments), technology business alignment, and technology transformation programmes.
  • Ability to take an end-to-end view across technology architecture, technology operations, and IT service delivery and apply it to relevant business contexts.
  • ITIL/ IT Service Management accreditation.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management techniques.
  • Proficient in project management principles and practices.
