The Government Commercial Function is seeking a highly skilled and experienced commercial leader to join our team as Deputy Director Commercial - Head of IT Hardware and Services. This is a senior leadership role that requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of commercial specialists, developing and implementing commercial strategies, and managing a portfolio of complex contracts worth over £700M. They will work closely with other category leads, MOD and Government Commercial Function teams, and stakeholders to deliver a world-class IT service to over 220k global users.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of commercial specialists to deliver commercial strategies and manage contracts
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize resources and spend
- Work closely with other category leads, MOD and Government Commercial Function teams, and stakeholders to deliver a world-class IT service
- Manage a portfolio of complex contracts worth over £700M
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and partners
- MCIPS or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in commercial leadership and contract management
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work at a senior level and influence stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
