Job Description

**Role Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at Booking. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering financial statements under UK GAAP, working closely with the audit team to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and deliver financial statements, including all relevant reports and notes, to ensure compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Technical Accounting: Prepare technical accounting papers to address items such as provisions, judgments, and implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Audit Review Management: Manage the audit review process, maintaining a good working relationship with auditors and tracking and driving the closure of review points.
  • Deliverables and Deadlines: Work to the overall audit plan, completing deliverables to deadline, flagging any risk areas immediately, and obtaining director-level sign-off of the financial statements.
  • Balance Sheet and P&L Understanding: Have a working understanding across the whole balance sheet and P&L to ensure appropriate accounting standards are applied.
  • Month-End Finance Process: Involved in other areas of the month-end finance process as necessary, e.g., balance sheet review and control review.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: ACA qualified (preferred), would consider ACCA for the right candidate.
  • Experience: 1 year post-qualification experience preferable.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-directed, and resourceful.
  • Language: English.
