About the Role:
The Deputy Manager will support the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store, team management, store standards, stock management, and delivering excellent customer service to our pet parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in managing the store's daily operations, including team management, store standards, and stock management.
- Take full responsibility for running a successful store in the absence of the Store Manager, managing people, financial performance, and customer service.
- Lead by example, creating an excellent culture and working environment for the team, demonstrating the company's values of being Genuine, Wise, Eager, Focused, and Together.
- Ensure that the team delivers exceptional customer service by providing a great shopping experience for customers and displaying strong pet and product knowledge.
- Deliver the highest standards of pet care and ensure that the welfare of pets is a top priority, promoting responsible pet ownership.
Requirements:
- A passion for pets and people, with a focus on delivering an unrivalled shopping experience.
- Previous retail management experience, with a proven track record in developing business performance and exceeding KPIs.
- A team player, able to communicate effectively and build high-performing and highly engaged teams.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to managing the store's operations, with a focus on commercial awareness and store standards.
- Full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
