Compensation Overview:

  • Position: Senior Residential Support Worker - Children's Services
  • Location: Bedlington, NE22
  • Salary: £30,000 - £32,000
  • Working Hours: Full-time, including long day shifts and sleep-ins
  • Requirement: Valid UK Driving Licence is essential

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to encourage and assist the young individuals in our care to lead a life of positive growth within a secure and nurturing environment.
  • Oversee daily operations in a professional manner and support the Service Manager in delivering high-quality care.
  • Guide a team alongside other professionals to provide the necessary therapeutic care and support tailored to each child.
  • Document events, observations, and progress reports, while preparing and implementing care plans.
  • Serve as a positive role model for both colleagues and children, fostering trusting relationships that promote recovery, growth, and lasting change.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience or knowledge of child-centered, therapeutic approaches.
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience and a Level 3 qualification in residential childcare.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a naturally caring demeanor, flexibility, and resilience.
  • Energetic, composed under pressure, and capable of managing challenging situations.
  • Willingness to work shifts and participate in sleep-ins to support the children.
