Job Summary

The NHS England Academic Training Programme Director role is a key position within the organisation, responsible for leading the development and implementation of academic training programmes across the region. About the Role

The Academic Training Programme Director will be responsible for working closely with the Postgraduate Dean and other stakeholders to develop and implement academic training programmes that meet the needs of the NHS and its partners. This will involve working with a range of stakeholders, including clinicians, educators, and researchers, to design and deliver training programmes that are tailored to the needs of the organisation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement academic training programmes that meet the needs of the NHS and its partners
  • Work closely with the Postgraduate Dean and other stakeholders to design and deliver training programmes
  • Collaborate with clinicians, educators, and researchers to develop and deliver training initiatives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to academic trainees and clinical academics
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clinicians, educators, and researchers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong clinical background, with experience in leadership and education. You will also need to have a proven track record of delivering high-quality training and development initiatives, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you will need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
