Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Director to lead our childcare team at Imagination Childcare Academy, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting short- and long-term goals for the teaching staff, managing the work schedules of teaching and administrative staff, and supervising and leading teaching and administrative staff as they adhere to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the teaching staff, setting clear expectations and goals for the team.
  2. Staff Supervision: Supervise and lead teaching and administrative staff, ensuring they adhere to company standards and policies.
  3. Staff Development: Work with teaching staff to identify areas for improvement and provide training and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  4. Communication: Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged.
  5. Administrative Tasks: Manage the day-to-day operations of the childcare center, including ordering supplies, managing budgets, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience working with children in a teaching position or administering childcare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

The Academic Director will work in a childcare center environment, spending time at a desk and supervising staff. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
