AutoCAD Technician Job Description

Job Summary:

Nicholas Associates is seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD Technician to join our team in Sheffield. As an AutoCAD Technician, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality AutoCAD drawings, providing technically sound engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop AutoCAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Produce General Arrangement Drawings, meeting client requirements and specifications.
  • Administer and maintain Engineering Records, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and manage Asset Management and BOM structure, optimizing production processes.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and contractors to resolve production and engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with stakeholders to provide project updates.
  • Maintain Design Change Registers, ensuring configuration control and version management.

Requirements:

  • Well-developed time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
