Empowering Learning: Seeking Experienced Teaching Assistants for SEMH and EBD Students

We are a leading provider of education services, dedicated to empowering students with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and social emotional mental health (SEMH) challenges. We are seeking experienced teaching assistants to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

About the Role:

We are looking for teaching assistants with recent experience working with children with EBD, SEMH, and other challenging behaviours. As a teaching assistant, you will work with students across all ages in one of our SEMH/EBD schools, alternative provisions, PRUs, or Primary Schools. You will be responsible for providing behaviour support, learning, and progress for students with SEMH statements in a class of up to 8 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide behaviour support and learning assistance to students with SEMH statements.
  2. Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans.
  3. Use initiative and work well under pressure to manage challenging behaviours.
  4. Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure seamless support.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to use initiative.
  • Recent experience working with children with EBD, SEMH, and other challenging behaviours.
  • Enhanced DBS check and references required.

What We Offer:

We offer a supportive and inclusive work environment, opportunities for professional development, and a competitive salary package. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with SEMH and EBD, we encourage you to apply.
