About the Role
DP World Australia is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team in achieving operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing our operational policies, rules, and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and adhere to site Health & Safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company objectives and regulations.
- Provide leadership and management direction for all local line and staff personnel, aligning with the company's strategic business objectives.
- Advise and train first-line managers and staff on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law and regulatory bodies.
- Actively participate in lean initiatives, such as process improvement, standardization, and employee engagement.
- Develop and improve operational processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Effective communication, understanding, and response to all customers and suppliers.
- Internal and external stakeholder management.
- Compile data using spreadsheets and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
- Progress tracking and report compilation.
- Effective delegation of tasks to the team, setting SMART objectives and goals.
- Ensure order and cleanliness in areas of responsibility.
- Undertake disciplinary and grievance processes, including investigations and hearings.
- KPI adherence and continuous improvement.
- Quality and control checks.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in leadership roles.
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Understanding of advanced business planning and data analysis.
- Solid grasp of performance metrics and problem-solving.
