Role Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Plumbing Assessor to join our team. As a key member of our Directorate of Health, Education & Service Industries, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality learning experiences in Plumbing for apprentices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Assessment: Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of learners, ensuring all students receive a comprehensive education in Plumbing.
  • Practical Instruction: Collaborate with learners and industry partners to plan and execute practical learning days, ensuring safety and educational value.
  • Student Support: Monitor and assess learner progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in professional development to stay current with industry standards and educational best practices.
  • Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and safeguarding requirements, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Enrichment Activities: Participate in the college's enrichment programs and support the planning of educational trips and visits.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Teaching qualification (DTLLs, PGCE, or equivalent) Level 4 – desirable
  • A1 Award or equivalent or willing to work towards within 6 months
  • Level 3 qualified in Plumbing
  • Experience in delivering high-quality learning experiences and managing a diverse range of learners.
