Ferrovial Construction is seeking a highly skilled Section Engineer to join our team at Heathrow Airport. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the management of the construction site, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental impact.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and/or utilities, with experience in managing subcontractors and stakeholders. They will be able to demonstrate a growing commercial and contractual knowledge, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to interact at a variety of levels.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the construction site to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Supervise subcontractors, assistant engineers, and site engineers to ensure that they understand their responsibilities and are following safety protocols.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation, including RAMS, method statements, and inspection and test plans, are completed and up-to-date.
- Monitor the work under their control to ensure that any unsafe work conditions and non-compliance with company policies and procedures are promptly remedied.
- Collaborate with the commercial department, engineers, and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Successful experience at a management engineering level in construction, specifically in civil engineering and/or utilities.
- Demonstrated application of growing commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Experience of working in a cost-conscious environment.
- Good people management experience, including managing subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels.
