About the Role

We are seeking experienced Senior, Principal, and Chief Geotechnical Engineers to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Ground Engineering business, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex geotechnical projects with minimal supervision, working in a technical review function, and supporting colleagues to increase their understanding of advanced geotechnical principles and offshore geotechnics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead offshore design, including offshore foundation design, driveability, cable burial trench ability, and deep-water anchoring.
  • Develop and implement advanced constitutive soil models, parameter selection, soil-structure interaction, and numerical modeling software (FLAC, PLAXIS 2D/3D, etc.).
  • Validate geotechnical numerical analysis and numerical model calibration.
  • Manage the process of geotechnical numerical analysis within an interdisciplinary project environment.
  • Drive digital innovation and further AtkinsRéalis' capability in offshore geotechnics and advanced geotechnical analysis.
  • Collaborate with clients and engineers from other disciplines to deliver high-quality projects.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background with a relevant degree and ideally an MSc or PhD in a relevant subject.
  • Proven geotechnical analysis and design experience, with experience in the Offshore sector.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
  • Willingness to travel on short assignments within the UK and overseas.
  • Working towards or holding Chartered status.
  • Valid UK driving license.
