Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Specialist Psychological Practitioner to join our team at the Ardenleigh Women's Secure Blended Service. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the assessment, formulation, and delivery of psychological interventions to address complex forensic mental health problems.

Main Responsibilities

As a Band 6 Specialist Psychological Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the assessment and formulation of psychological interventions for individuals with complex forensic mental health problems
  • Delivering individual and group psychological interventions, including potentially working with families
  • Contributing to the completion of risk assessments and behavioural management plans
  • Providing training and supervision to ward staff and other members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and contributing to service improvement

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
