Job Description

Business Development Manager

We are seeking a talented Freight Sales Professional to join our team at WR Logistics. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective business relationships with new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Undertake presentations for long-term business, produce and present tenders and quotations for business.
  • Offer a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers, by demonstrating a professional, helpful and positive manner.
  • Generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with overseas correspondents, exchanging information, undertaking joint business and supporting sales visits to and from them in order to develop sales.
  • Provide accurate information to internal operations staff in order that all relevant administration can be completed efficiently.
  • Work with Line Managers to promote specific markets and generate business, through a co-ordinated programme of targeted joint calls.
  • Responsible for current developments in the market and information on competitors.

Requirements:

  • Freight Forwarding sales experience - internal or external.
  • Business 2 Business experience.
  • Air Freight.
  • Sea Freight.
  • Sales Hunter or Sales Manager.
