About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Magna International Inc. as a Product Costing Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining product cost structures, producing meaningful cost variance analysis, and developing detailed cost forecasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete monthly stock balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify and record month-end inventory cut-off tests to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Organize and manage quarterly stock takes to ensure efficient and accurate inventory management.
  • Reconcile stock adjustments to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
  • Prepare and analyze internal scrap reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and analyze Costs of Quality reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Track and accrue quality concerns to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain and update SAP with GL/CC owners and provide training to new users to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Verify and update in SAP standard costs for materials, labor, and overheads to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Attend Engineering Change meetings and prepare financial impact for change requests to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and analyze daily/weekly/monthly KPI reports (Spent tracker, Inventory days, Ohs in stock mvt, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze variances between actual and standard cost to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with analysis of Contribution Margin against customer quotation, tracking movements, and reconciling back to original business case to ensure accurate and informed decision-making.
  • Collect and prepare internal costs relating to Government Grants to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist with reporting of the financial performance of Continuous Improvement projects to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Assist with the implementation of robust internal financial controls compliant with Magna minimum controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ACCA/CIMA Newly or Part Qualified.
  • Manufacturing and/or Automotive sector experience.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Experience of SAP.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting standards.
  • Valid Driving Licence.
