About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Manager to join our team at Teign Housing. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of outstanding service to our customers, including those using our Gypsy and Traveller site.

Your remit will span everything from compliance with tenancy conditions, including fire risks, gas and electrical testing, asbestos and heat pumps, to domestic abuse, noise nuisance, safeguarding issues and antisocial behaviour.

You will be responsible for managing a team of Community Housing Officers and will go the extra mile to keep our communities stable and harmonious.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing compliance with tenancy conditions and ensuring the safety of our residents
  • Managing a team of Community Housing Officers to provide outstanding service to our customers
  • Developing effective policies and practices to enhance the customer experience
  • Identifying and mitigating risks to our residents and communities

We are looking for a candidate with a deep understanding of risk assessment, tenancy issues and antisocial behaviour. You will be adept at overseeing budgets and people, and making presentations at board level will be second nature to you.

You will be passionate about combating risks and enhancing the customer experience, and you will be ready to do whatever it takes to make a measurable difference every day.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in social housing management, with experience in risk assessment, tenancy issues and antisocial behaviour.

You will be a natural leader, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of Community Housing Officers.

You will be a strategic thinker, with the ability to develop effective policies and practices to enhance the customer experience.
