Anaesthetist Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-equipped department with excellent facilities, including 8 operating theatres and 4 endoscopy/minor procedure rooms. You will have the opportunity to develop your special interests and be part of the wider Scottish network.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality anaesthetic care to patients
- Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
- Develop and maintain your skills and knowledge in anaesthesia
- Contribute to the development of our department and the wider Scottish network
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice
- Be on the Specialist Register for Anaesthesia or be eligible for entry within 6 months
- Competency and experience across all anaesthesia sub-specialties, particularly Intensive Care, Obstetrics and Paediatrics
- A subspecialty interest in Intensive Care is essential and additional qualifications like FFICM are desirable
