Anaesthetist Consultant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients, leading a team of anaesthetists, and contributing to the development of our department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide anaesthetic care to patients, including pre-operative assessment, anaesthesia, and post-operative care.
- Lead a team of anaesthetists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development of our department, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to educational programs.
- Participate in on-call rota, providing 24/7 cover for our patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Eligibility for entry onto the Specialist Register for Anaesthesia or current membership.
- Competency and experience across all anaesthesia sub-specialties, particularly Intensive Care, Obstetrics, and Paediatrics.
- Subspecialty interest in Intensive Care is essential, with additional qualifications like FFICM desirable.
