Mechanical Fitter/Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic and Mechanical Component Technician to join our team at New Appointments Group.
Key Responsibilities- Disassemble and inspect hydraulic and mechanical components to identify wear, damage, or corrosion.
- Conduct thorough inspections, including interpreting technical data, diagnosing faults, and using precise calibrated measuring tools.
- Reassemble hydraulic and mechanical assemblies based on technical specifications, preparing them for final testing and inspection.
- Assist the test bay engineer with testing hydraulic and pneumatic units according to test procedures, and complete test reports.
- Adhere to and implement all standard operating practices and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards.
- Ensure that all work meets the quality standards set by CAA, EASA, FAA, and company procedures.
- Perform other tasks as required by operations or business needs.
- Experience in mechanical or hydraulic engineering.
- Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to interpret and follow detailed compliance manuals.
- Capability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work, with effective teamwork in cross-functional teams.
- Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills, excellent analytical, administrative, and organisational skills, and great attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45
- Friday: 08:00 - 15:45
