Mechanical Fitter

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Sterling Cross. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for disassembling and reassembling hydraulic and mechanical components, conducting inspections, and testing hydraulic and pneumatic units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble and reassemble hydraulic and mechanical components
- Conduct inspections, including fault diagnosis and interpreting technical data
- Test hydraulic and pneumatic units
- Assemble hydraulic and mechanical components from technical data
Requirements:
- Background in mechanical or hydraulic engineering, preferably through an apprenticeship or similar
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, with a minimum of GCSE in both
- Able to work to tight deadlines and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Good communication and analytical skills, both written and verbal
- Well-organized and self-motivated
