We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Histopathologist to join our team at Poundbury Cancer Institute. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive histopathology reporting service, working closely with our team of pathologists and scientists to deliver high-quality diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the diagnostic histopathology service, providing accurate and timely reports to support patient care.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, working collaboratively with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Act as lead Histopathologist for at least one specialist area, providing leadership and expertise to support the development of our histopathology services.
- Take part in clinical audit, research studies, and teaching activities to support the development of our team and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development of our histopathology services, working closely with our team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
- Full GMC registration and a licence to practise.
- Expertise in a wide range of general histopathological and non-Gynaecological cytology material.
- Ability to participate in multi-professional team and take full and independent responsibility for caseload.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and patients.
- Commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.
