About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team at Tesco. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that our customers receive their shopping in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer shopping trips in a safe and efficient manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer queries
  • Ensure that the van and trays are clean and tidy at all times
  • Load and unload the van as required
  • Manage customer substitutions and short code items
  • Take care of products and deliveries as if they were your own
  • Call customers before arriving at their property if early
  • Call the store if running 30 or more minutes late

Requirements

  • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Basic knowledge of the area and ability to navigate using a satnav
