Our multidisciplinary team comprises professionals from various fields, including Clinical and Applied Psychology, Psychotherapy, Nursing, Psychiatry, and Allied Health. We are committed to fostering a culture that prioritizes patient-centered care, efficiency, and the continuous development of our staff.

Who We Are Looking For

We seek compassionate, innovative, and reflective individuals who are eager to contribute positively to the lives of children, young people, and their families. Ideal candidates will embody our core values: respect, kindness, curiosity, collaboration, efficiency, forward-thinking, and a trauma-informed approach.

Service Overview

NHS Grampian CAMHS offers comprehensive services across the Grampian region, organized into geographically based teams. Our service includes a specialist CAMHS Hub, providing diverse clinical experiences such as individual therapy, family interventions, group therapy, and specialized workstreams. We emphasize early intervention and actively engage in departmental research and local and national training initiatives.

Clinical Approaches

Our treatment modalities are diverse, incorporating various psychological techniques such as Schema Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others. We also collaborate closely with regional inpatient units and local partner agencies to enhance community mental health resources.

Professional Development

We provide tailored management support, including one-on-one and group supervision, to promote professional growth and reflection. Our established Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program and local training initiatives are designed to advance staff capabilities. We also welcome trainees from Doctorate programs in Clinical Psychology and Child and Young People Mental Health.

Qualifications

Applicants should have prior clinical experience working with children and adolescents, preferably within CAMHS settings. Experience in collaborative work with other professionals and partner organizations is advantageous. We encourage applications from those nearing qualification and those interested in flexible working arrangements.
