Child and Youth Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Support Specialist to join our team at the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). As a key member of our Childline team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who contact us for help.
About the Role:
As a Child and Youth Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to children and young people who contact our Childline service. You will work closely with our team of volunteers and staff to ensure that every child and young person receives the support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people who contact our Childline service.
- Work closely with our team of volunteers and staff to ensure that every child and young person receives the support they need.
- Lead on key on-shift safeguarding decisions and use coaching to maintain and develop the quality of the service.
- Ensure every child and young person receives a high-quality service and provide effective supervision, coaching, feedback, training, and support to volunteers.
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary, a 7% rota allowance, and a hybrid rota that includes a consistent balance of morning, daytime, and evening shifts across a 6-week pattern. You will also have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team who share your values of supporting children and young people.
Requirements:
- Has a strong background working with children and young people within a safeguarding context.
- Believes in our cause, our mission, and wants to help us be there for all children and young people.
- Has a passion for supporting others, especially in situations which can be emotionally challenging.
