We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Lawyer to join our Real Estate Planning team at Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP. Our team is renowned for its expertise in planning, infrastructure, and environmental work, and we are looking for a talented individual to help us deliver exceptional results for our clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of premium-level planning projects, including large-scale development consent orders, compulsory acquisitions, and strategic planning advice. You will have the chance to work with a talented team of lawyers and professionals who are passionate about delivering outstanding results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert planning advice to clients on a range of projects, including development consent orders and compulsory acquisitions
  • Assist with project management and coordination to ensure timely and effective delivery of projects
  • Review and advise on environmental statements and other planning-related documents
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in planning law, with a minimum of 5 years' post-admission experience. You will also need to have a good understanding of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 and experience of planning agreements, highway agreements, and inquiries/examinations and judicial reviews relating to planning matters.
