{"Job Title": "Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager to join our team in Chester. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for overseeing the provision of audits from planning to completion, as well as statutory accounts preparation, tax accounting, and other related tasks. You will work closely with senior team members to ensure that expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supervisory and managerial experience, as well as working with clients within practice. You will have strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and working knowledge of accounting software. You will be a natural leader who is able to bring out the best in others and confidently mentor junior team members in a positive and constructive manner.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Work alongside senior leadership team to deliver high-quality audits for a varied portfolio
* Oversight of workflow, allocation of work deadlines and team performance
* Prepare tax computations, including tax returns, tax liabilities
* Provide trusted advisory and strong technical tax knowledge
* Work closely with senior team members, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met
* Oversight of client bookkeeping, VAT provision, management accounting and financial statements
* Liaise directly with clients, acting as their 'go-to' person to exceed their expectations
* Lead, manage and develop the team, acting as a role model for junior staff
* Deliver training and champion knowledge sharing across the team

**Requirements:**

* ACCA or ACA qualified or QBE with preferably a minimum of three years' post qualification experience
* A proven track record of supervisory and managerial experience, as well as working with clients within practice
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP
* Working knowledge of accounting software
* Strong communication and advisory skills
* Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Self-motivated and able to manage a team's workflow
* A team player and approachable leader who is able to bring out the best in others
* Confidently mentor junior team members in a positive and constructive manner
