Job Description

At CV Library, we're seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily reporting of breakdowns and PPM activities
  • Prioritize repair work to minimize downtime
  • Monitor machine performance and work with the planning department to negotiate availability
  • Support external contractors and provide technical assistance to production teams
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adopt a clean-as-you-go policy
Key Areas of the Role:
  • Carrying out engineering activities to maintain equipment and facilities
  • Minimizing engineering downtime to ensure business continuity
  • Maintaining GMP and safety standards within the engineering department
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance of engineering processes within the team
  • Ensuring high engineering audit standards at all times
  • Developing and maintaining engineering skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Proven competency in isolation, electrical safety, and safe panel entry
  • Experience of FMCG operations
  • Proficiency in computer-based maintenance systems
  • Able to strip and reassemble machines, complete machine size change procedures, and make adjustments
