Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our E-Commerce operations team in a state-of-the-art warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Ecommerce operation, including Goods In, Picking, Replenishment, and Despatch, ensuring efficient and safe processes.
- Lead First Line Managers, Team Leaders, and Warehouse Colleagues, promoting a culture of health and safety and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines to meet business targets.
- Collaborate with management colleagues to optimize labor planning and cross-functional working, driving operational efficiency.
- Motivate staff and drive a culture of health and safety and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all tasks are undertaken safely and completed to schedule by appropriately trained colleagues.
- Manage stock movements using the NAVISION (WMS) system.
- Report on team performance, focusing on meeting agreed targets and goals, and take corrective action as needed.
- Labor & demand planning – construct and prepare daily & weekly rotas/holidays/overtime hours of warehouse colleagues to deliver the warehouse plan.
- Liaise with agencies to ensure necessary cover and training of temporary workers to support during weekends.
- Manage day-to-day people issues, including absence management and disciplinaries and grievances.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in managing warehouse colleagues in a high-volume, fast-moving operation, with E-Commerce/fulfillment experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and stock movement & resource planning.
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills and numeracy.
- Promoting a culture of Safety and Continuous Improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Significant experience of warehouse management systems.
