Position Overview

The role of an International GCSE English Literature Moderator involves evaluating the assessment of candidates' submissions based on established criteria and Pearson's guidelines. Each moderator is responsible for reviewing a designated number of samples from various centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct moderation of different components of the subject assessment, including coursework and projects, which are initially evaluated by educators at the centers.
  • Perform direct assessments of school-based elements in cases where centers choose not to provide initial evaluations.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports regarding center assessments to the Team Leader or Principal Moderator as required.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • A minimum of one academic year of teaching experience within the last eight years in the relevant subject area.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be a qualified educator.
