Job Title: English Literature Moderator

At Pearson, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English Literature Moderator to join our team of examiners and moderators. As an English Literature Moderator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our examination processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out moderation of parts of a subject examination, such as coursework, projects, and special studies, which are marked initially by teachers in the centres and then sent to you.
  • Undertake, when necessary, the direct assessment of school-based components in the subject where centres opt not to make initial assessments.
  • Complete and submit centre reports to the Team Leader or Principal Moderator as required.
Requirements:
  • One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years and within the relevant qualification and subject.
  • A degree or equivalent.
  • A qualified teacher.
Competencies:
  • The ability to work well under pressure.
  • The ability to meet deadlines.
  • A high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme.
