**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Recovery Specialist to join our Revenues team at Mid Devon District Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day collection of income recovery for all outstanding debts.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Progress, monitor, and chase arrears cases to ensure timely collection of debts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clerical and computer records.
  • Deal with customer enquiries, both internal and external, in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Make decisions in line with government legislation and council policy.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a local government or public sector environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of software systems, with attention to detail and accuracy.
