Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer III to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service activities, including installations, repairs, and maintenance services, to our customers across the Central Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, resulting in high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Perform field service-related duties, including installations, repairs, and maintenance services, in line with internal rules, customer regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers, ensuring that their analytical equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Work closely with our sales team to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, ensuring that customers are offered the products and services they require to meet their objectives.
  • Optimize work schedules, coordinating with dispatch, team leaders, and managers to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Responsible for company assets, including parts inventory, laptop computer, mobile phone, test equipment, tools, software, and company car.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of activities, including field service reports and expenses reports.

Requirements:

  • Background in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related subjects.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience servicing analytical equipment, or equivalent applications specialist or end-user experience.
  • Knowledge of Mass Spectrometry, Liquid Chromatography, or Gas Chromatography an advantage, but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to balance multiple tasks with different priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, self-motivational, and negotiating skills.
  • Proficient levels of PC literacy.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Willing and able to travel 5 days a week within territory, Monday to Friday, with occasional nights away from home.
  • Good English skills, both verbal and written, ability to work across all levels, functions, and regions.
